How Chi Kung Can Transform Your Daily Energy

Chi Kung is an ancient practice of Chinese origin that combines gentle movement, conscious breathing and movement meditation. For thousands of years, it has been used to cultivate the vital energy — known as chi or qi — that flows throughout our body.

What is Chi Kung and how does it work?

Unlike conventional physical exercise, Chi Kung is not about strengthening muscles or burning calories. Its goal is much deeper: to harmonise the flow of energy in the body, calm the nervous system and connect mind, body and spirit.

The movements are slow, fluid and coordinated with the breath. This creates a state of relaxed alertness — similar to meditation — that activates the parasympathetic nervous system and reduces cortisol, the stress hormone.
